"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said here am I send, me!"

Host Homes

While in Belarus we all had the honor of staying in host homes
with local families. Although I don't have pictures where all the team
stayed (we stayed in 3 different places in each city) I wanted to
share a few pictures of where Mark, Janice, Kathleen, Angela,
Eve, Marina (our wonderful translator), and I stayed our 1st
4 nights. We stayed with a precious couple, Alexsander and Anna,
and their 2 children Alexsander and Irina. What wonderful hosts
they were. They sacrificially gave all that we needed and more
to us. We appreciate them and all they did for us!

Home Visitation

Our team also participated in home visitation in the evenings. I had the
joy to call on a husband and wife in Luninets with Pastor Nicholi's
wife, Pastor Andrew, Eve, and Angela. The couple welcomed us into
their home in Luninets. After fellowship, sharing the word, and refreshments
with them, I learned that the wife was from Ukraine. What fun I had sharing with
her my experiences in Ukraine. The next night she called and invited me
back to her home. My translator, Marina and I enjoyed a wonderful meal
with her. I found a new Ukrainian friend in Belarus.

Luninets City

Luninets is a small town in southern Belarus. It was very pretty.
It seemed to center around a railway system that ran through
the middle of town. Everyday for lunch we crossed a tall bridge
and went over the train tracks to eat at a small restaurant.
There was a large square with a statue of Lenin that we all stood
in front of for a team photo.

Tuesday July 9 and Wednesday July 10, 2013 Luninets

On Tuesday and Wednesday we continued our work with the
children in Luninets. What fun we had with the children and the
church members at Luninets Church. Everyday we had 4 sessions
for the children who were ages 4-16. Those sessions included
Bible lessons, crafts, games/sports, and music. We had a beginning
assembly and ending assembly where we sang songs and talk about
what they had learned. On Wednesday evening we had a service
for the children, their families, and anyone else who wanted to attend.
A gospel message was given on Wednesday to the children and adults
by Andrew.

Sunday July 7, 2013

Since I was unable to download pictures from Belarus I am going to
try and back track with days and pictures.
This was Sunday July 7th. Our 1st ministry day we went to a neighboring
village to a Tent Revival. In the morning we worked with children. We
sang some songs and did a skit about creation. They fed us a great lunch.
That evening we returned for the final service. We were able to assist giving
out Good and Evil books in Russian. There was a resident stork perched
just above the big tent. For some of the team it was their 1st time seeing
a stork.

Luninets

What a time we have been having. We arrived safely on Saturday after a very long flight schedule.
2of our ministry bags were lost. We needed them by Sunday afternoon so that we could get
our supplies and decorate for camp and by God's provision they were delivered to Luninets
on Sunday afternoon! Sunday morning and evening we travelled to a nearby village for tent revival services first with the children and then with adults. We have had 2 wonderful
days of children' camp so far. Everything is going well! We are very tired. Camp is in the day and evangelism in the evenings Wed. night the parent's of the children are invited to attend. Please pray with us for people to respond to the message of the gospel! Thursday morning we will leave
Luninets and travel 1 hour to Mikashevicky. When we arrive we have to ready for another camp
and a new group of children at 9:30am. We appreciate your prayers!

Time To Depart

As we prepare to leave I am reminded of this saying by
Elisabeth Elliot.
This job has been given to me to do.
     Therefore it is a privilege.
Therefore it is an offering I may make to God.
Therefore it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him.
Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God's way.
In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness.
Tomorrow as we leave for Belarus it is good to remember
who called us to this job, this task. God always knew that
the 10 of us would be going to Belarus in July 2013. He
called us. He equipped us. He will be with us.
May we be faithful to this call!
