"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said here am I send, me!"

Sunday Lunch Meeting

Today we had a lunch meeting at church. Hopefully I answered
any last minute questions. We prayed and praised! This past
week we have had quite a roller coaster ride trying to get one of
our team members visa approved. The last word from the Belarus
embassy in Washington DC was that it is in the mail! PTL!
Special thanks to the gentleman at the embassy who went the extra
mile to get this done swiftly. We have prepared and now we leave
this trip in God's hands. Off to the airport Friday morning.

Team Packing

We did our team packing yesterday after church.
This is where we pack all of our resources, crafts,
supplies, gifts, etc. into ministry suitcases to take on
the trip to Belarus. It involves moving things around
usually several times until we get the right amount
of items in a suitcase without going over the 50 lb
limit. We actually were able to get everything into
5 - 50 lbs bags. That's right we are taking appoximately
250 lbs of supplies with us to Belarus. Many thanks
to all who donated match box cars, beannie babies,
and other items for us to take on the trip!

Just Cool

One of our team members, Deborah, was in Bakersfield, California
this week. She was amazed when she stumbled on this sign. Apparently
Bakersfield is a sister city with Minsk, Belarus!

Our Visa Applications are currently at the Belarus Embassy in Washington
DC. Please pray that they will be processed quickly with no problems.

17 Days Until Belarus

We are very close to departure. 17 days and we leave Atlanta for our Belarus
Mission Trip. Above is a picture of the Luninets church (one of the 2 churches
where we will be working.) Hopefully we have taken care of all the details and now
we need to continue in fervent prayer for Belarus and our team and trip!

I love the quote by C.T. Studd - "Only one life will soon be past, only what's
done for Christ will last."

As we finish up our final preparations I was reminded of this verse by one of
my faithful supporters: "I will go before you and make the crooked places straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you
the treasures of darkness and hidden riches or secret places, that you may know
that I, the Lord, who call you by your name am the God of Israel." Isaiah 45:2-3
